So I am going crazy with my blog entires tonight but I know I will forget if I don't post it now. So with this move we have had to downsize (again) and the current beds that we have would not fit up the curving staircase in our new place. So we made a trip to Ikea. Now my husband and I have been married forever (it seems) and he is loves getting a reaction out of me so he is never serious and never learn and always give him that reaction. Anyway, we are in Ikea trying to find a new bed for us and a bunk bed for the boys. We come along this....And Matt turns to me and says...this would be PERFECT! So I tell him - Honey we have 2 kids and this only has one bed. No he says - this would be perfect for US! What?! So I start laughing because he is Matt and he always says silly things because he likes seeing me freak out. But he was serious! I am not lying. He thought we could both sleep up top (with me of course the furthest from the ladder) and have our desk underneath us. So I just stare at him, ask him a bunch of times if he is serious and then I proceed to REALLY freak out to the amusement of passerbys in Ikea. I mean really what was he thinking?! We are old - we can't climb up a metal ladder to get into bed! And I would be totally trapped and I could just see myself falling off the thing trying to get out. But needless to say he did not win and sanity prevailed. I will post soon what we ended up getting which I am totally in love with!

Yeah - so in the midst of moving - I got this lovely treat! I had to keep it a secret but now I can say - I am featured on Becky Fleck's February PageMaps. So happy to be doing this again! For those of you that think they could never scrap - use her sketches because she makes it very fun and easy and it will look like you have been doing it for a long time!

I was so happy to have a sketch featuring the ones I love the most. The phrase "A Home is not where you Live but who lives in your Heart" just hit me one night while I was trying to sleep and I had to get up and write it down right away. If it is not original - I apologize in advance. It has such deep meaning to me since over the last couple of years my life has been upside down and my husband and I basically had to start all over again financially and career wise. It really tested the strength of our marriage and our family.

I know we hear it so much about the economic doom nowadays but I kinda feel like we had already been living it the last year or so and it just has caught up to everyone else! So I have learned once again it is not the material possessions I have or think I want to have some day but the PEOPLE that are near and dear to my life. That is what fills my heart and I know if I have these people around me I will always have a home!

Well I am officially announcing it on my blog that we are moving (again). 2nd time in about 9 months. Even though we are dreading it, it is our choice to move this time and not due to outside circumstances like last time. Plus the boys will be back in the school district we want them in which means Tim will probably be transferring back to where his friends are. So over all it is a good move but I am hoping to make some improvements in the new place like applying some of the daily organizing emails I get from Martha Stewart! So I am hoping to make it more of a home for the kids and not just a place where we live!

But for now - check out the latest prompt at The CrEative TyPe! Sp excited to be a part of this group because I get to indulge in my love of type! This round focused on "Type Gone Retro" and the idea was create a layout inspired by a retro font. Tyler recently found some great Dr. Suess books from the 1950's so we have been reading those lately and I so wanted to do something reflective of the author's style and awesome photo fo Tyler is none other than www.shannonmontez.com)!

We just got back tonight from our night away! We spent a nice day together and it had been way to long since we had done that (I am thinking going on two years). Yes that is ridiculous but that is just how our life has been the last two years. Here are some pictures from the day!
This was my favorite one of Matt! Isn't he a cutie in his Green Latern sweatshirt!

Had to post this one because Matt was very proud of this photo he took of a seagull!

Wow - today is my 15 year wedding anniversary. Hard to believe that 15 years ago today we were saying I do! We were so young, thinking we knew it all. Now 15 years later, we have been through a lot of tough times but through it all nothing compares with the joy of
making the two of us - the 4 of us with Timmy and Tyler.
During this anniversary I am thinking a lot about a scrapbooking friend that suddenly lost her husband over Christmas. She described him as her Hero. We never know when our time will be up with our loved ones. So in honor of Michelle and Marshall - I going to try real hard this 15th year of marriage to be kinder to Matt, to be his girlfriend and not his nagging wife, to remember the fun we have together and try not get bogged down with all things we have to do, bills to pay and every day stress. To remember that he is my knight in shining armor and to appreciate the time I have been given with him.

So yesterday was our cousin Kate's first birthday. She was letting me take all the photos I wanted so here are just a few of my favorites from the night.

And her Mom Cheryl has a knack doing really creative things like taking this regular princess hat and adding ribbons, a felt 1 and turning it into a super cute Birthday Princess hat.
Then she whipped up these cupcakes and figured out how to make the cherries sugar coated. Looks like it could be straight out of a magazine!! But all through out her house she has cool ways of displaying things or taking store bought items and adding some home made touches to make them really cute. She really has a gift for it! Maybe if I brag enough about her she will come and do her magic at our house!

Here are Kate's siblings Brett and Megan. I am just itching to do a layout with these pictures. When I saw there guitars I had to bug them to take their photos with them. I totally have a song in mind to use as a layout title. Can you guess what it is??
And to end out our fund Christmas break - we had my niece Hannah over. We scrapped and played some tennis and did some shopping! Always fun to have her come and hang out. I know my time is short with her since she is already 16!
