There is a new Prompt over at The Creative Type!

"There is quite possibly little in this world more inspiring than music so for prompt # 13 we have decided to get lyrical....and we hope you will too!! Use some of your favourite lyrics to feature on your page, and make some lovely music with us!"

"Reader, you may ask this question: in fact, you must ask this question: Is it ridiculous for a very small, sickly, big eared mouse to fall in love with a beautiful human princess named Pea?

The answer is ...yes. Of course, it's ridiculous. Love is ridiculous.

But love is also wonderful. And powerful. And Despereaux's love for the Princess Pea would prove in time, to be all of these things: powerful, wonderful, and ridiculous."

The boys and I have been reading Despereaux. I have to say I liked the movie storyline better but I LOVE the way the author Kat DiCamillo writes. She has very nice grammer too! So when I saw this quote I thought - this would make a great layout!

I think I am a children's author groupie!

Shh - don't tell anyone but I think I am using my son Tim's love of books to go to Children's Authors book signings! I just love hearing them talk about what inspires them to write and how excited all the kids get when asking questions or talking about the author's books. It is really cool to see!We just went to another one last week at our local Children's Book store - Hicklebee's! This time it was Peter Lerangis who wrote the 2nd book in a cool new kid's series called 39 Clues! It is a collaboration of 10 different children's authors who are writing this series of books that also has an interactive component online. It is pretty cool! If your child is into books this is one to check out - BUT buy it from a local children's bookstore! Even though it is usually more we gotta keep these local businesses going!
