This guy has been at Science Camp this week and I think he is having fun:
So this guy and I have been hanging out more:
We had the whole night to our selves last night so I asked him what he wanted to do and he said Chuck E Cheese! Also, all this week he has been Star Student and it is where he gets to have a poster on the wall with all kinds of cool things about him and various other prized privileges. He had been debating back and forth about who to invite to have lunch with him and the teacher today (another privilege) and he had been deciding between 4 boys. Just now he said he decided to pick the boy who had not been invited by anyone else all shcool year to have lunch with the teacher today. I thought that was the sweetest!!

My Dh won tickets to a screening last night so we went to go see the new Indiana Jones movie! Promise - no spoilers! It was great and chock full of all the Indiana Jones-ness you could ever want (really they could have cut back on some). You can totally tell it was directed by Steven Spielberg - won't say anymore about that but when you see it you will know. It was great at tying in old people and things from the previous movies. I was kinda glad they brought back Marion. Yes she has aged like any normal person which I think it was a little shocking we are not used to seeing that in movies. Usually it is the Indiana Jones type guy with a beautiful young thing so I like how they made it more realistic.
My Dh asked me what was the best part and I said Shia LaBeouf!! He was great and can totally pull off taking over the Indiana Jones movies. I have liked him since my kids watched Even Stevens on the Disney Channel. So cute, funny, cries at the right times etc.

Our day at Hicklebee's! So today after school, I took the boys to a cute little bookstore that is across from their school. I had noticed that one of the authors of a book series that Timmy reads was going to be there today doing a book signing. I had NO idea how popular this guy was. The place was packed and it was one of the hottest days in San Jose and was the store's air conditioner even working?!! Timmy was very patient though waiting his turn to sign his books. Rick Riodin also did a presentation where he read from his newest book and I was impressed! He also said he started writing when he found out his oldest son was ADHD and dyslexic. He would tell him Greek Myths and when he ran out of stories to tell his son told him he should just make some up and he did and that is how it all started. So that impressed me even more. He has 4 books out I believe and there will be a movie out next year.So I think I will try to read these over the summer. So cool to see kids so enthusiastic about an author. When I grow up, I'd like to be a children's author some day!

Hope everyone had a good Mother's Day. My boys did great and I will blog on that later. Just wanted to put up some new creations! I did the two hanging projects for Mother's Day gifts and when I saw the felt watering cans at Target in the $1.00 section I just had to get some. I made paper flowers and used felt flowers and buttons and put it all together. I don't know if I can give this one away! I may have to keep it for myself!
