In knitting news....

Here are two gifts I have finished recently. The first was a scarf for my friend Julie for her birthday. I think she liked it. It's a basic garter stitch scarf with fringe and then later I crocheted in some random blue fuzzy stripes and added a knitted flower. I'd never crocheted into a knitted item before or made a flower so that was fun.

I also finished up a baby kimono style sweater that I got from Teri in my Knitting CJ group. Thanks Teri! The pics of her baby girl in a lavender one was so cute that I had to try it out. I picked primary colors (since it is for a boy) and tried to give it some Gymboree style. It was hard to part with but I think my SIL liked it. The best part will be seeing a little baby boy wrapped up in it!!
