So this spring break has been a bit unusual. Matt thought it would be a good idea to go out of town for 4 days to do an estate sale (I am being sarcastic but not the best timing but it wasn't his fault). So after working M-W I tried to make the rest of the boy's spring break fun.
Thursday - Met my friend Marion at Chuck E Cheese. This was our first "date" with all our kids etc. I met her at tennis and she became a fast friend. She likes some of the same weird things I do and she has a funny sense of humor so she makes me laugh. Then I drove over the hill to meet my SIL and her kids and we saw Meet the Robinson's. It was good - a little slow moving but I actually came away thinking about the message which is unusual for a cartoon. Kudos to Pixar for creating wholesome films for the whole family. Then I headed home, rested and then played tennis. Marion was there and we had 4 other ladies.
**if you have a sensitive stomach just skip this part** So we are playing tennis and Marion's 3 kids and my two are all in her van watching a movie. Before we know it, the van door flings open and kids are bailing right and left. Tyler high tailed it back to our van and Timmy was gagging in the parking lot. Apparently, Marion's cute little 4 year girl old gags very easily and get grossed out. She put my husband and son to shame as far as the volume of throwing up noise. So Marion rushed out to help her and I couldn't help but start laughing. I know it was not called for in this situation but I couldn't help it. Then the other tennis ladies want to keep playing - how can play with all that going on! Marion and giggled about it later and I am sure it will be retold again and again. Her son said my son grabbed his shoe to smell to try and distract him from the throw up smell.
Friday - I had a tennis match with Kathy in Sunnyvale in the morning so the kids went to kids park (which they love). It was a rough match. We lost the first set 3-6 and pulled off a tough second set 7-5 where I had to serve at least 10 deuces in a row - I was wiped out. We lost the tie break game 8-10 but as far as I am concerned we won. Then I Picked up the kids ran errands and the kids played at home with the neighbor boys. Then we had a date at Red Lobster - Timmy and I love crab! And I headed up to Suzy's to say hi to the cropping gals and see the new stuff she got in. Their scrapping wore off on me because I went home and scrapped until 1am. I got all my monthly layouts done for Picture Me Perfect - yeah!
Saturday - we were supposed to work on the flip house slate walkway which we got great news this week. We have permits!! So the electrical and plumbing and all the other inside stuff can get started. But it was raining so that was out of the picture. Timmy got to play at a friend's house and Tyler and I went to the rock and mineral show to meet my SIL and nieces. That was actually fun and Vikkee and I were picking out our favorite jewelry. Wish we could have afforded it but the best designs we liked were from a local shop so we know where to go now. Then I picked up Timmy, went to Michael's and now I am home for the day. I hope to get more scrapping and knitting done. And more housework but I am so bad at that lately. But I did do this:

So maybe that is why I am getting some scrapping done! I need to organize some more (Like the stuff under my desk) but least I have space to work now!

I am a Typist.

your scrap area looks good. next time you go to ikea, think ablout those jars for some smaller items. i love them. i can see everything and they will look great in your scrap space. i may even get one for my circular needles and scraps of yarn.
i still cannot believe you can craft and create in such a tiny space! that is amazing, and so happy to hear you caught the scrap bug from suzy's! i finished my gg stuff that night, felt good to have that crossed off the list, and i'm happy with the results! cannot wait to see your work! next time, i hope you will stay to crop with us!
happy sunday!
Holy cow Kent, that's a huge amount of stuff you've done in the last week! Makes me feel lazy being here in Utah. :)
The scrap space looks amazing!!!!
Yeah, on the beautifully clean scrap space. my underneath looks pretty similar, but as long as the work space is clear that is all that counts.
Sounds like you still had a blast during spring break. too funny about the puke story.
love your space, kent :)
