I do not know what to blog about so I guess I will post some pics from Easter. We had a full day of family, food and fun! Matt's sister, Vikkee decorated a beautiful table and we enjoyed a yummy lunch. The cousins had fun doing an Easter egg hunt indoors. My sister in law, Prycla is looking so pregnant and so cute! Can't wait to see the new baby!

SPOILAGE!!

Look at all the cool stuff I got from Sylvia She's the best at organizing fun awaps and secret gift exchanges. This time she did a secret Bunny swap with myself and three of her other scrapbooking friends. I LOVE everything she got me. She went WAY overboard! She also included my favorite snacks and coffee AND even some knitting stuff. When I got home I was cracking myself up. I first of all had to show it off to my husband and kids and my husband said WOW. Then I unwrapped it, took eveything out to look at it, put it all back and wrapped it back up. Then later, I unwrapped it again, laid it all out, took photos, then wrapped it all up again (minus the munchies). Eventually I will actually use the stuff but I am having too much fun just looking at it all wrapped up! Thanks again Sylvia - you're the best!

I know I know I am obsessing on this too much but look - My Guest Garage Girl bio is up! And here is one of the layouts I did for the month of March. Now I have to figure out what to do for April!

My friend, Sylvia is the one that told me to enter the contest. She is a Garage Girl and adds her own flair with her fun layouts. She is a great scrapbooking cheerleader and email buddy! She is also great at organizing crops and secret gift exchanges. At her last crop, I finally finished my letter N. I had this "N" since our scrapbook store road trip in October. So glad to get it done. It looks great on my mantel!

In scrapping news - I don't think I posted on my blog yet that I won a Design Team contest. Bay Area Scrapper held a Guest Garage Girl contest (it's named this because the owner runs her store literally out of her garage). Anyway I won one of the 4 spots! With this:

It's for two months and I already have layouts up online for the month of March. My Bio and picture should be up soon. As soon as it goes up - it'll be time to take it down since it is only for two months but you never know what the future may hold!!

In knitting news....

Here are two gifts I have finished recently. The first was a scarf for my friend Julie for her birthday. I think she liked it. It's a basic garter stitch scarf with fringe and then later I crocheted in some random blue fuzzy stripes and added a knitted flower. I'd never crocheted into a knitted item before or made a flower so that was fun.

I also finished up a baby kimono style sweater that I got from Teri in my Knitting CJ group. Thanks Teri! The pics of her baby girl in a lavender one was so cute that I had to try it out. I picked primary colors (since it is for a boy) and tried to give it some Gymboree style. It was hard to part with but I think my SIL liked it. The best part will be seeing a little baby boy wrapped up in it!!

Okay - here is the update on the carpet. It is in, our house feels new and we basically moved in and out of our house in 4 days. Everything is not put back together yet and Matt and I had the crazy idea that it would look cool if we painted (in other words just me) the living room. I picked a buttery tan and a darker shade. It looks great but I am pooped. Now the boys want to paint their room but I have to recooperate first before I can attempt that!

In other news, I got the new Making Memories book and I have two layouts in it. I am very excited about the one called Be An Original because it is about my name and all that goes with being a girl named Kent. I think it is funny that the silver "be an orginal" bar is totally crooked. I just noticed that. I also like the fact that Tyler branded it by scribbling on the cover the same day I got it. So that is my short lived scrapbook layouts published career. Who know when I'll get anything else picked up.

UGH - I have so much crap!!!! I got this idea in my head that we needed new carpet and it is great that we are bascially getting it for free (Matt's uncle owns a carpet store) the downside is I didn't realize how tough it is to get new carpet in when you are currently living in the house. I don't see myself as much of a clutter person but gees where did I accumulate all this crap!! It's driving me crazy. And I can't blame it on anyone else. I have boxes of old photos, bags of yarn, shoes and everything else imaginable. The only people in this house that has more crap are the boys. I want that crew from Clean Sweep to come in now!! Help!!! Okay - now that I vented its time to move more junk and hoepfully this will motivate me to go through everything before I move it back in and condense some of this stuff!
