The first Day of school came and went. I was kind of sad for our summer to end. It was the first time ever that I was home with the boys every day. The poor guys did spend countless boring hours at the house flip but it was still nice to be around them all day. We had our inside jokes and I tried to squeeze in as much fun as I could. When we took them to their first day of school it felt like it was the first day of kindergarten all over again - that heart pain of not being with them all day and not knowing what they were doing etc. And it didn't make matters any better when I went to pick them up and Timmy was crying and wouldn't tell me what happened. Finally I get it out of him that he and his teacher were having problems all day and he had to leave for 1/2 hour and there were several notes she gave us. Finally she got him to the point of crying by announcing to the whole class that he was being bad and would get a note and then she told him to stop being a baby for crying. Needless to say we were not happy parents and after several calls and a meeting yesterday I think we have it under control (I hope). I think Timmy being out of pratice of school and trying to show off by talking nonstop did not sit well with the teacher and he shouldn't do that but on the other hand - it's the first day of school - give him so slack lady!! So now I am back to being anxious during the day and hoping he is having a good day and I won't get any calls at home.

Tyker in the other hand had a good day. I don't think he knows what to think of his teacher though. I get random comments from him like - when my teacher is happy she jumps up on her desk and does a crazy dance. And today before he left he said his class is for babies because she had them all saying "moo" and "baa" like they were on a farm.

On another note - look what I got! Stephanie always highlights the latetest and greatest on her blog and she had a link to these new Crocs. Now I have not been a fan of the Crocs but these were feminine and small so in a weak moment I ordered them! I got them yesterday and they are so comfortable! They even have a little heel on them. I got purple just because. I always go safe so I thought I'll get some color this time. Silly me!

Slammed! I feel slammed today!! First of all, yesterday afternoon my son decided he wanted to play in the PAL football league with our neighbor. Mind you this is our son Timmy who has tried soccer, basketball, tennis and baseball and nothing has stuck. He quickly lost interest in all of them. He loves being part of the team and the whole keeping score aspect but he doesn't realize you can't just start talking to other people on your team while you are supposed to be playing or ask the coach a million random questions. So when he asked me if he could play and pulled the 'ole - we'll see when your Dad gets home (of course he will see my reasoning and say no). I was wrong! So at 5:30 pm we are scrambling to get him to practice. Timmy actually liked it and says he wants to keep going! What?! When did all this happen?? Now I have a whole list of things to do just for football not to mention all the back to school stuff!!

Wow - my first class at Picture Me Perfect is coming up THIS Saturday. I am excited and nervous about it. But I can't wait because I love helping people be creative and giving them confidence in what they can do. One lady bought 7 kits because her daughter is having a party and each of the girls will make one of these with their name on it. Isn't that a cute idea?! I actually got a chance to crop last night at the store with my scrapping friends Sylvia and Laarnie. I thought I would be able to work my my road trip mini book but ended up getting ready for my class and getting all the kits together. Wow that was a lot more work than I thought and I am not totally done yet. Now that our vacation is over there is so much to do. I liked just driving and not having housework to do, a million errands to run and not knowing what day it was. Back to the daily grind!!

We are back! We just got back last night from our 12 day road trip. 6,635 miles traveled and 14 states visted.
California
Arizona
New Mexico
Texas
Oklahoma
Arkansas
Tennesee
North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida
Alabama
Mississippi
Louisiana
Whew that is a lot of states! It was a great way to see the country and definitely a good way to spend time together as a family. Not a great time to travel though. It seemed every where we went we ran into a heat wave. Charleston was 115 degrees with the heat index (which means it is very hot and humid and you can barely stand it out side). Probably the place we liked best was Destin, Florida. The beaches were so white and the water so clear. We had a great time playing in the ocean. I wish we could have stayed there longer but we had to keep going. It was also great to see friends and family and I wish I would have taken pictures of them!

Well my big announcement is that we are going on a field trip! At least that is what Tyler keeps calling it. It is actually a two week road trip to the East Coast to visit my grandmother and other people along the way. We cannot wait to get out of here and I think it is the only way I can get Matt to relax and not be stressed out about work or the flip house. We hope we make a lot of fun family memories along the way! I made each of the boys their own travel journals that I hope they fill them up with all kinds of things. I know I will be taking ton of pictures and planning out scrapbook layouts in my head. Please keep us in your prayers for safe travel! We're outta here!

So many things have happened since the last post! Hmm where to start...Timmy celebrated his 10th brithday but going to Great America with his friends and with my neice Hannah. We had so much fun and it was great to spend time with my neice. The next day we went to Picture Me Perfect and did a scrapbook project. We totally altered hers but I think it turned out great. I also turned in my August assignments and was particularly happy with the fleece pillow I created out of the Love Elsie fabric paper. I think I may be teaching another class!! People have been seeing at the store and asking about it!

Then it was back to scrambling trying to get the Harding house ready for it's first open house last Sunday. It was terrible! I was so exhasuted and sick of painting, grouting and cleaning. But it went well considering that it was not compeletly done. People did not seem to mind because they were wowed with what we had done with the place. It was great having family and friends support us and encourage us by showing up too.

Then I had my other neice and nephew over on Monday and Tuesday and we had a great time swimming, going to the scrapbook store and playing. I am glad I got to have some time with them before shcool starts.

Later I will have a big announcement.....

What?! No pictures of the house flip you may be asking yourself! Well, it was time to take break because we celebrated Timmy's birthday! We had family time with cake etc and it was nice to take a break from house remodeling. For his real birthday on Tuesday, I am taking him, his brother and a couple of friends to great America. My neice Hannah will be joining us and spending the night. I have some one on one Aunt time lined up with both my neices and nephew so can't wait for that!!
Silly cousins Luke and Tyler! This is Tyler's new trick and he will do it at any opportunity he can. He can even move them in different directions. That kid's got talent!
Timmy loves board games now so we all played Apples to Apples as a family. It was a blast!
My cute as a buttom nephew Zacheriah. I think he thought the party was for him!
