I'm outta here! I am heading back to Maryland tomorrow for a whirlwind 4 day trip to see my highschool girlfriend get married. They have been dating 10 years so enough already right?! I am glad to finally see it happen. While I am out there I hope to...
1.Spend time with dear friends
2.Laugh
3.Read a book on the plane
4.Eat Maryland blue crab (a must)
5.Maybe squeeze in a visit to the National Cathedral
6.Catch up with old friends!
7.Oh! and take pictures!

It's that time of year again! I can't believe it! Both the boys start school next week. For my younger son who is still in Elementary, I ordered all the t-shirts and sweatshirts this year for the school! It was a lot of hard work but I think they turned out great. The Tiger ones are for the kids and new this year we added adult sweatshirts and totes featuring a drawing done by one of the kids of the school. We were sweating and selling while parents came to see the class postings.
If your school would like their own t-shirts let me know. I work with a great distributor! They can do nationwide too!

I scored at the Japanese $1.00 store! My friend Amy told me about this store - Dansuri so it has been our fun summer tradition. The kids and I like to walk around and look at all the tons of Japanese stuff! We try and find the most obsurd English translation and there are some strange ones! The kids love the candy, soda and the little figurines. I scored some cool new scrapbook supplies. Can't wait to use them!mirrored paper
cork plaque
colored duct tape
colored corrugated paper
cork circle
printed fabirc tape
I can give you the 411 on the store if you are local!

YIPPEE!!! I am so excited to announce that I am team member of the new challenge blog The Creative Type. A couple of weeks ago, Patty posted on SIStv her idea of a new challenge blog where the focus would be on using all kinds of type in layout and projects. I LOVE all that kind of stuff so I sent her a sample of my work and voila! I am so excited to be a part of this diverse team and can't wait to contribute ideas and share layouts with everyone.
So check it out and save it to your blog favs! The first prompt is up and there will be more to follow....

I had been wanting to use children's books in my layouts for a while. I LOVE them but didn't want to cut any of mine up. But I found a Pooh book at Goodwill that I could sacrifice for layouts.
The last page in the book fits my boys so well. Always looking for an adventure and Timmy is always looking for his next meal. This picture of them is so old but I recently found it in a pile. I think they are twice as big now!

My other life!
So I have another life. It is called eventsbykent.com. I started my own event planning business a little over a year ago when I left my corporate job. Recently I partnered with a great company out of Southern California that I am SO excited about that I have to share it with you all on my persoanl blog!
It is called Posh Party Box (http://www.poshpartybox.com/). I was considering making my own private party packages so when I was doing research I came across this lady's site. WOW! I was so impressed. I knew I couldn't do as good of a job as she could so I approached her about being a rep for her and she said yes! So this is a new adventure for both of us!
Please take a look at her site by clicking on the banner featured on my blog! The great thing is, is that she can drop ship the party boxes to anywhere in the country! Please feel free to share with friends and fanily as well. If you ever wondered how you can support my business - this is how!
Have fun planning your next party!
